Location Recording
A wise man once said: go where the magic is. Good advice! The magic might be in the studio, but it's often happening on stage. And thus, ValveTone is highly mobile.
Every location recording is different and requires a unique approach. My capabilities can scale to meet the needs of almost any event from full orchestral recordings, to major concerts and media events, to small recitals and clubs.
Possible set-ups could include redundant digital multi-track recordings, digital multi-track recordings synced to HD or SD video, transformer isolated splits of all microphones on stage plus high quality audience mics or full classical-oriented microphone arrays. Your event can be mixed live, mixed later in my studio, or you can take the multi-track recordings and mix them yourself.
Having recorded dozens of high profile concerts and events, featuring clients like NPR, Buzzfeed, CBC, Harpers and the BBC and artists like Christian McBride, Paul McCartney, Anoushka Shankar, Abdullah Ibrahim live in South Africa, the Berlin Philharmonic and Deerhoof, in venues like Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Webster Hall, Merkin Hall, the Cathedral of St. John and Celebrate Brooklyn, you’re in good hands with ValveTone.
